Mike Fitzmartin – President

Mike Fitzmartin brings over 15 years of leadership experience in multi-site customer contact centers within the bankcard, telecommunications, retail credit, and satellite industries. Mike joins Apelles from a top five provider of outsourced customer contact solutions, where he served as Senior Vice President of Outsourcing Operations. Leading large multi-site teams supporting every touch point in the customer lifecycle, from acquisition and fraud prevention, through customer care and retention, on to first and third party collections, Mike’s experience brings a full complement of skills to Apelles. His background with diverse organizations from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies have allowed him to lead teams of up to 1,800 associates across multiple contact centers supporting over 4 million customers at a time. Mike has been responsible for benchmark performance in the areas of employee retention, customer loyalty and profitability giving him a broad understanding of best practices and how to implement them. Besides living and breathing the customer contact center life, Mike enjoys boating and spending time with his wife and 4 children.

 
   

Patrick Bennett – Chief Financial Officer

Patrick Bennett, CPA, brings over 17 years of accounting and management experience to Apelles, most recently as director of finance for a leading logistics organization. With over 6 years of experience working with a Big Five accounting firm and 11 years as a controller for a $3 billion revenue wireless communications company, Patrick’s background covers a broad spectrum. His responsibilities have included accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, along with financial planning and analysis. Patrick has extensive experience with relational databases and maintains a strong track record of using technology to drive higher performance. His experiences have involved numerous acquisitions, mergers and business consolidations, giving him excellent change management leadership skills and an understanding of how this affects all of his customers and suppliers. When Patrick isn’t crunching numbers, he can be found on the golf course, or spending time with his wife and 4 children.

 
   
Carl Bloecher – Vice President of Operations

Carl Bloecher has over 22 years of customer contact center experience with a strong focus on first and third party collection operations leadership. Most recently, Carl served as associate director of financial services for Verizon Wireless. In this role he directed a team of over 150 associates to benchmark performance in the areas of bad debt control, customer loyalty, and employee retention. Carl began his career in Collection Operations with one of the nations largest 3rd party collections organizations, and on the first party side with Limited Credit Services (Alliance Data Systems). He then joined a startup third party contact center called Continental Claims, Inc. (CCI) as Director of Marketing and Sales Operations. Carl’s responsibilities included creating Marketing and Sales Strategies, as well as Sales Strategy execution. During his tenure with CCI, Carl negotiated collection contracts in bank card services, utilities, medical industry, cellular communications, and early outsourcing collection of pre-write-off accounts. When Carl isn’t driving performance for his clients, he can be found enjoying the outdoors with his wife and their twin boys.
 
   
John Sacco – Vice President of Systems and Strategy

John has been involved with call center technology for over 7 years now. He brings over 9 years of collection and call center experience to Apelles. John’s experience includes planning, designing and implementing several different technologies, including automated dialers, automatic call delivery (ACD) systems, and collection and billing systems, across multiple centers. His expertise in this area has helped to merge and consolidate many different platforms by taking several centers to directional platforms and achieving goals set to improve efficiency. Prior to Apelles John served as the Associate Director of Operations for the Midwest Region of Verizon Wireless and the Director of Dialer Operations and Collection Strategies for Intellirisk Management Corporation. When John isn’t reworking technology, he can be found hiking, playing golf, coaching little league baseball or just hanging out with his dog, Molson, watching sports and making homebrew.
